Description
We’ve pulled all the stops out this year to bring you our biggest and best event yet, flying in America’s top scream queen Linnea Quigley and screening her most famous movie, The Return of the Living Dead.
We’ll also be joined by top genre writer/director Sam Irvin (Gods and Monsters) and DF6 will mark the first ever convention appearance by Chloe Franks, so memorable in Who Slew Auntie Roo and Tales from the Crypt. We also have the likes of Julian Glover, Virginia Wetherell and Barbara Ewing, as well as our regular roster of Hammer Glamour legends. But as anyone who has been before will tell you, DarkFest is about much more than watching great films on the big screen and meeting legendary genre celebrities. It’s also a wonderful social gathering of like-minded folk, many of whom seem to spend most of the day chatting happily in the bar rather than watching the films. If you’re one of them we’ll gladly join you for a livener or two. And when you’re not chin-wagging or watching a movie you can browse the dealer tables selling film memorabilia, DVDs, Blu-rays, stills and posters. We’ll also be showing lots of classic short films and trailers and are very excited to be able to welcome the amazing Circus of Horrors team, who will be providing entertainment between film showings.
