DarkFest 7

Description

Join us on November 23rd and scratch that 7-year itch mingling with fellow fiends and some top horror celebrities while watching a great line-up of horror classics on the big screen
The venue as always is London’s magnificent Genesis Cinema in Whitechapel, and we are delighted to be welcoming Adrienne King, star of the original Friday the 13th (1980) which we will also be screening.

As those of you who have joined us before already know, DarkFest is about so much more than watching great films on the big screen and rubbing shoulders with legendary genre celebrities. It’s also a wonderful social gathering of like-minded folk, many of whom seem to send most of the day chatting happily in the bar rather than watching the films. If you’re one of them we’ll happily join you for a livener or two!

And when you’re not chin-wagging or watching a movie you can browse the dealer tables selling film memorabilia, DVDs, Blu-rays, stills, posters and monstrous model kits.

You can also buy copies of not one but two brand new Dark Side books: In the Mouth of Madness: The Films of John Carpenter and Dead Scary: The Dark Side Zombie Guide. These are available now to pre-order.

The films we will be screening on the day are: Friday the 13th (1980), The Beyond (1981). Don’t Open Till Christmas (1984), Scars of Dracula (1970) Razor Blade Smile (1998) and to top the day off we have a very special mystery Hammer horror from the 1970s making its UHD premiere at our event courtesy of Hammer themselves!

We may even have a few words from its famous male star but you will have to wait until the evening to discover what this mystery movie is!

TICKET PURCHASE DEADLINE: Monday 18th November

Tickets are £40 each in advance and please note that we are limiting guest numbers to 400 this year because we want all of our visitor and guests to feel comfortable. We’ll also be handing out six Slaughter Awards to deserving genre folk.
